Le Chant d'Oiseau
Great looking site 20km north of Saumur in the Loire. New owners Stu & Syb Bradley offer gites and B&B as well as camping/caravanning pitches: they seem very friendly, too!

La Source
Nice looking campsite in the Haute-Alpes owned and run by two English couples. Great mountain scenery, and they offer secure storage for caravans!

La Vallee des Vignes
Smallish 4-star British-owned campsite in the Loire. Situated by the river Layon, handy for wine lovers!

Camping Penboch
Large well-run site with comprehensive facilities, ideal or the Gulf of Morbihan. francecamp.com says: "we've stayed there and were impressed with the facilities: ask for a quiet pitch though as otherwise you can end up next to a group of teenagers who party till dawn! Good access to the Gulf for watersports."

Twin Lakes Twin Lakes Caravan Park is a picturesque English family owned site set in the region of Charente-Maritime, also offering fishing in... two lakes!
